What we do in Playa Vista
The price is known before we leave the base. We do not bill by the hour and never re-quote on site because a job ran long. Minimum order $69.
The most predictable neighborhood in our area — and that is a compliment
Playa Vista was built entirely after 2002, and for furniture assembly those are the best conditions in existence: level floors without a century of settling, fresh drywall without surprises, studs exactly where the standard says they should be. No lath, no slopes, no "everything is different in this house".
What that means for you: the work goes fast and lands at the low end of the estimate. A dresser closer to 45 minutes than an hour and a half. A whole bedroom closer to 2.5 hours than four. The prices are the same as everywhere in our area — you just make it to dinner more often here.
The one local caveat is the townhouses: vertical floor plans with bedrooms upstairs, so beds and dressers travel internal stairways. We know the geometry, and wardrobes get assembled directly in the destination room.
Silicon Beach: the setup as a genre
The Google and game-studio campuses are two blocks away — and the neighborhood’s defining order is the work-and-play station, turnkey:
- A powered standing desk: screw lengths checked (the desktop face is millimeters from a through-hole), cables routed before the flip, a full cycle run, height presets programmed.
- A chair with the casters seated to the click — they pop out on day two when half-inserted.
- Monitor arms — single, dual, clamp-mounted and stud-mounted.
- Cable management, so the space under the desk does not grow a nest.
- Shelves and racks for equipment and collections — anchored to the wall.
We build setups like this in Playa Vista weekly. If the gear is already bought — we arrive after the delivery and do it all in one visit.
A neighborhood of young families
Runway, the parks, the playgrounds — Playa Vista is full of small children, and kids’ furniture is the second most common order: cribs strictly by the manual, dressers with the anti-tip strap (always installed, no charge — one less worry for young parents), and bunk beds with every bolt torqued once the kids grow.
In HOA buildings — freight elevators and slots: we sort it with management ourselves; just name the complex.
Where we go
