A big house gets its windows done by rooms
- Kids’ rooms — blackout for nap time plus cordless (cord safety).
- The elders’ bedroom — solid darkening and simple controls: heavy chains and stiff mechanisms are not for arthritic hands, so we pick easy ones.
- Living rooms with tall windows — floor-length drapes on stud-mounted rods, our ladder.
- West windows — cellular shades against the San Gabriel Valley’s evening heat.
The double-height foyers of the new homes: tall windows from the ladder, mounting into studs.
Closets and doors
Closet systems: the bedrooms take full-height systems, and we will assemble several in one visit.
Doors — up to three per visit at one price: new homes ask for soft-closers and stoppers (kids!), and for the elders — lever handles instead of round knobs: a lever is kinder to arthritis.
