Drapes that weigh as much as furniture
Designer textiles — double-layer linen, velvet, floor-length silk panels — are beautiful and heavy: the rod under them must sit in studs or concrete, not on anchors that quietly walk out of the wall within a season. We mount rods for the real weight of the fabric, dead level, with the returns set precisely — so the fold falls the way the decorator intended. We also work to a designer’s plan: drawing → install → photo report.
Blinds and rollers get a precise fit in the opening: three-point measurement, no gaps at the edges. Bedrooms take blackout; motorized systems we hang ready for hook-up per the manufacturer’s instructions (we do not touch the electrical — that is licensed work, and we say so honestly).
Wilshire condos: HOA rules — slot and hours — we arrange it all.
Closets
Sections with soft-close, lighting, islands — the big systems of Beverly Hills take two people and 2.5–3.5 hours: leveling, joining, anchoring (in Trousdale — into concrete).
Doors
Handles and locks — up to three doors per visit at one price: brass and designer hardware goes on without scratches, old mechanisms get adjusted, cylinders replaced.
Frequently asked questions
Decorator drapes, heavy panels, rods already bought.
We mount into studs or concrete to the decorator’s plan; the fold falls as intended.
Motorized roller shades — will you install them?
The mechanics and mounting — yes; the electrical hook-up belongs to an electrician, we say it straight.
A closet system with an island and lighting.
We assemble and anchor it; plug-in lighting we connect, hardwired goes to an electrician.
Brass handles — I worry about scratches during install.
Protected tools and gloves. The brass stays mirror-bright.
