A TV inside the interior, not on top of it
In homes put together by a designer, a panel on the wall has to belong, not protrude:
- Cables disappear — a raceway matched to the wall, or in-wall routing where the structure allows: a black waterfall of cords under the panel is not an option here.
- Height and axis follow the furniture and the room’s lines, not eyeballing: screen center at seated eye level, the axis set to the wall’s composition.
- Working to a plan — if your designer supplied a drawing, we mount to it millimeter for millimeter and shoot a photo report.
Walls: Trousdale and mid-century mean concrete — masonry anchors, a hammer drill with dust extraction, the +$40 from the price list. The 1920s Spanish houses north of Santa Monica Blvd are lath — studs only, found with a detector. Wilshire condos are drywall plus HOA rules — we arrange the slot ourselves.
Large sizes: 75–85-inch panels go up with two people on rated hardware; we will assemble and anchor the media wall under the panel in the same visit.
