Blackout — for a city that works in shifts
Night schedules are in Burbank’s blood: set shifts, edits till morning, live broadcasts. Sleeping by day is a normal local need, and blackout here is not a whim — it is a condition of sleep. We install it properly:
- Blackout rollers with minimal edge gaps (a finger-width gap defeats the purpose: three-point measurement, mounting dead level).
- Heavy drapes on rods — the rod goes into studs: blackout fabric is heavy, and a five-foot rod on plastic anchors does not live long.
- East-facing bedrooms especially: the Valley sun rises hard.
Flatland ranch windows are standard — quick. Magnolia Park openings are pre-war: each one measured, mounting into the wood of the frame or a stud, not into crumbly plaster.
ADUs: small housing asks for smart storage
Garage studios and backyard units always run short on storage. A wall-mounted closet system is the most capacity per square foot: we measure the niche or wall, assemble and anchor it, and adjust the doors and drawers. And ADU window coverings are their own story: often it is the single window, and both the light and the yard’s privacy depend on it.
Doors and locks
Handles, cylinders, locks — up to three doors per visit at one price: we replace, and adjust hinges and strike. For rentals — with the owner’s consent and the original hardware returned at move-out.
