The home office — our most-assembled order

Sony, Apple, HBO, TikTok are a couple of miles away, and Culver City’s defining order is the workplace at home. We build the "powered desk + chair + monitor arm" setup several times a week, and we know the two places where DIY most often breaks:

• The frame hardware goes into a ¾-inch desktop — the face side is millimeters from a through-hole. We check the length of every screw.
• Cables get routed before the desk is flipped — otherwise the first lowering cycle shears a cord. Then a full cycle run and height presets.

The chair gets its casters seated to the click (half-inserted ones pop out on day two). Monitor arms go into studs or on a clamp, and cable management keeps the space under the desk from growing a nest.

Moving every year or two is a genre as well

The industry’s renters move often: we assemble after the move (the apartment in one visit, cardboard hauled off) and disassemble before the next one — hardware into labeled bags so the next assembly is not a puzzle.

Ivy Station and the new complexes: compact floor plans — we check sofa dimensions against a hallway photo before you buy, and book the freight elevator with management ourselves. The old-center bungalows are lath: dresser and wardrobe anchoring goes only into studs.
