For JPL’s city — assembly that passes instrument checks
The La Cañada client knows what a tolerance is — and our assembly passes the level test. As in any engineering town, we get called for two kinds of jobs: the hard ones (sliding wardrobes leveled to millimeters, Murphy beds under 200-plus pounds of spring load, wall units with anchoring) and the "no time" ones (a bedroom in one visit between mission deadlines).
A city on a slope — and it affects every cabinet
Nearly every address is an incline: an uphill driveway, a terraced lot, floors with decades of settling. The rules are simple:
- Casework only with leveling: shims under the base before tightening, or the sliding doors roll and the hinged ones wander.
- Uphill carries: delivery drops boxes by the garage below — we bring them up as a pair; tell us about the steps.
- Patios among the oaks: protected trees dictate the layout — we assemble and place around roots and shade, and umbrella bases are built for the canyon wind.
For families — the kids’ classics: bunks torqued through, cribs by the manual, dressers strapped (the foothills remember their jolts — we anchor always).
