The Valley sun versus the bedroom
Summer in Sherman Oaks means sun that hits from morning and bakes the rooms by noon. The right windows save both sleep and air conditioning:
- Blackout in bedrooms — with a precise fit (an edge gap turns night into dusk): three-point measurement, mounting dead level.
- Cellular shades — on west and south windows they work as insulation: noticeably cooler in summer, warmer in winter. For hillside homes with panoramic windows they are the best choice; we will suggest models before you buy.
