The art capital hangs everything — and so do we
Venice is a city of artists, and the walls here work full-time: your own canvases, studio-mates’ pieces, Abbot Kinney finds, boards, neon, metal. Our experience matches:
- Paintings and objects — rigid fixings by weight, gloves, laser layout; heavy pieces and anything above sofas go only into studs (seismic country).
- Boards — longboards and shortboards on horizontal racks: hung "forever" or removable for actual surfing.
- Neon and light objects — we mount the body and connect plug-in power; hardwired electrical goes to an electrician, we say it straight.
- Galleries — from strict grids to free salon hangs: laid out on the floor, transferred by plan.
- For artists — rail hanging systems: the show rotates without new holes. The best option for studios and home exhibitions.
Walls: bungalows — lath (studs only), cubes — concrete (anchors), rentals — minimal holes and spackle at move-out.
Mirrors — full-length with two people; in bathrooms near the ocean — stainless hardware.
