Privacy first
WeHo stands close together: courtyard windows look into the courtyard and the windows across it; first floors look onto the sidewalk. Window coverings here are first of all about privacy:
- Top-down/bottom-up — light from above, eyes kept out: the best option for courtyard and street-facing windows.
- Day-night shades — flexible by the hour.
- Blackout — for a city that lives at night: bedrooms over Santa Monica Blvd and Sunset ask for full morning darkness. Precise fit, three-point measurement.
- The openings of 1920s–30s buildings are uneven: we measure each one and mount into the frame or a stud — not into crumbly plaster.
Building quiet hours respected: we drill in allowed time.
Storage for small apartments
One built-in closet per studio is the old-WeHo norm. A closet organizer doubles the storage: niche or wall measured, assembled, anchored into studs, adjusted. For rentals there is a tension-mounted option with no drilling — we will tell you honestly where it is appropriate.
Doors
Handles, cylinders, locks — up to three per visit at one price. Swapping the cylinder when moving into a rental (with the owner’s consent) buys 15 minutes of peace of mind. Settled old-building doors get adjusted — "closes with a shoulder" is cured at the hinges.
