Indoors and out: two mounts, two sets of rules
Indoors the neighborhood standard is simple: ranches with normal drywall and studs on 16-inch centers — an hour’s mounting. Big screens in the spacious living rooms go up with two people into two or three studs, cables in a raceway; the height follows the sofa, not "a bit higher".
Outdoors is the local specialty. Woodland Hills spends summer evenings by the pool, and a TV under the patio cover is a frequent order. Days of 110 degrees and cool nights run the hardware through thermal cycles: we use stainless hardware and brackets with a margin, and the panel must be genuinely outdoor-rated (an indoor one does not last in this heat — we say so honestly before you buy).
Warner Center rentals: minimal holes, studs, spackle at move-out; moving within the complex — down and up in one trip. The elevator slot is our job.
The hills: we carry the panel up the stairs if delivery left it below — a boxed 75-inch is a two-person job.
