Spacious ranch walls — and one heat trap
Woodland Hills living rooms love the large: big canvases, diptychs, family galleries down long ranch hallways. The working standard: composition layout, laser markup, rigid fixings for the heavy (seismic country — nothing "on a wire" above sofas and beds), mounting into studs.
The trap nobody thinks about: the neighborhood’s west rooms heat up hard in summer, and the art on those walls suffers. Direct afternoon sun fades prints and photographs within a couple of seasons. As we hang, we advise: valuable works go on walls without direct sun, and for the rest there is UV glass (we will point out where to order it). A small thing that saves a collection.
